THE NEW START AND EXPECTATIONS

This story is about two important men who are in a situation where they have to prove themselves to the world. They want to prove that they are ready to rule their countries. The first man is Mr.Barack Obama who is the first black president of America. The second man is Mr.Jacob Zuma who is the president of the ANC and possibly a future South African president.Mr.Obama is the first black president to lead America. The previous president of America was Mr.Bush who was a white a person, which made him a favourite to many people and a big enemy to Zimbabwean president, Robert Mugabe.

Mr Obama has a big challenge to rule a powerful, complicated nation and fulfil his promises. As any president he has to make sure that his country is happy with his work. But Mr Obama is a different president and because of his black skin colour he has an extra task to perform. And that task is to prove to the American citizens and the world that it was not a mistake that he got elected president of America. Clearly Obama has made “HISTORY”.

Some people say that he is very young to take power and so there is a big possibility that he can become greedy. And some say that America did need change so he is the perfect man for the job. But the real question is will he be able to complete his tasks? We all know that the world is watching, and that indeed some people out there are expecting the worst out of him.

Enough about Mr.Obama and America lets talk about a similar but complicated situation, South Africa. Let me brief you about our previous president Mr Thabo Mbeki, he was humble, dignified and an extra ordinary leader.

Last year September Thabo Mbeki was kicked off as president of South Africa. And as many people were left speechless as his due date was as close as tears in the eye, some said that he deserved it because they didn’t see that much improvement in his work in his second term of office. But either way he was out and a new president was needed, and that is how we got our current president Mr Motlante.
On 22 April 2009 year we will be holding presidential elections, and many people believe that current ANC president, Mr Jacob Zuma, stands a good chance of becoming South Africa’s new president.

Jacob Zuma has been in and out of court several times in the past few years on rape and corruption charges. Jacob Zuma has not yet been found guilty but chances are he could be. And the question is what if he succeeds as the new president of South Africa, on April, and is then later found guilty of corruption? What would other nations think of South Africa? Is Jacob Zuma ready for the challenges that lay ahead? Doesn’t he need time to solve his problem before standing in the upcoming elections because most people want to know weather or not he is guilty?

As much different as Jacob Zuma’s and Barack Obama’s stories may be, they both have one thing in common, to prove to the world that they can make it, against all odds that is.

2009/200SHINE/200MINE, IS IT A GOOD START FOR THE TWO MEN AND IS IT A NEW BEGINNING FOR THE TWO COUNTRIES?

    My Letter to Julius Malema

All I can say is that as much as your words might upset most of the white citizens of South Africa and probably put a lot of black South Africans to shame, you do make for a good laugh most of the time – its about time we bring humor back into politics, btw I love your Nando’s ads.

On the note of your latest verbal diaree as listed in the link at the bottom, all I can say is; Julius Malema you are in the wrong party, you should join the PAC or find another extremist party, because its so obvious that you are an aggravated, racist militant rebel who is more than often on the war path trying to instigate hate and divide amongst the citizens of South Africa, as well as your own party…
I will not mention your Nedbank scandal – do you know how much they have done for this country, and how many black staff they employ, but you want to see them punished and liquidated, try and figure out the consequences.

Unfortunately when it comes to our youth its no longer funny – its sad to see how the mothers and fathers, innovators and leaders of tomorrow, our black youth is supporting and following in your footsteps of hate speech and hostility towards peace and prosperity

You have not create or initiated nor contributed anything in your total time of rule that is significant in the prevention of crime, restoration of education, growth and progress of this country.

On the note of land reform:
I need to mention something to you and the majority of people who are probably not aware of this…
When the Europeans came to South Africa in the 1600’s, more than 300 years ago and started exploring the country, moving further up north they discovered different tribes living here, but vast amounts of land was totally unoccupied.
The tribes that lived here did not have basic algebra or a written language and they also did not have maps of the African continent (or SA), neither would they have had accurate legitimate deeds to the land they claimed they occupied and the actual km areas.
Because they had no written language it means they also did not document their history or family trees.
So explain to me how do you prove that this land was the Black person’s land when you don’t have proof or historical record of anything? – the Khoi San bushmen where here before the Blacks – if anyone needs to claim land its them.
The Europeans was the first to create/develop a written language for the Zulu in 1850, and all other language later – enormous gift if you ask me.
Probably 90% of South Africa and Africa’s education, technology and infrastructure etc. is European, unfortunately this has now been somewhat vandalized and abused.

I’ll make a deal with you, all Europeans will leave this country, with only 1 condition, we take all European technology and infrastructure with us, I’m sure you can figure out what you’ll be left with…or phone Mugabe.

Please stop threatening the white people and grasp the fact that the whites of today were born and bred here and we all had a Black mom, let’s make this country better together – and please watch the movie Gandhi or go visit Mr. Mandela, and see how you measure up.
